Day 24

Mom and Dad,
First of all, I must thank you for bringing me up in loving caring home. It sure means the world to me knowing I grew up in a safe environment. Thanks for teaching me respect, responsibility, and accountability. It has paid off with all my jobs and relationships. Thanks for teaching me to be disciplined and focused on what I want to accomplish.
You guys are amazing in the relationship you have together. The love that radiates from you guys is sweet. I love knowing that my parents are still in love with each other after 30+ years together. Looking back at the times you kicked Brett and me out of the house so you guys could have a "date" now means a lot, that you were able to keep a tradition.
Thanks for taking me around the state of Utah to see all the amazing sites that so many people have not seen. Even though I bitched that I hated camping I am grateful you took me. Thanks for taking me to Disneyland, the happiest place on earth.
You guys are AMAZING and I hope that I can get as much enjoyment out of my marriage with Steve as you guys have done!
Love your daughter,
Jessie

Day 23

***My cravings have to begin with Steve. When he is at work and I am home, all I can think about is "I wish Steve were home". I crave to be around him. I love that man.
***Hawaii is somewhere I crave to be. To be more specific...Kihei, Maui. My favorite place on earth right now. It is so beautiful, they have the softest beaches, delicious shave ice, ABC stores, and gorgeous flowers. Oh yeah and the ocean is so close to everything!
***I crave to be a mother. I can't wait to have my own family. Steve will be the best dad. The kids will have so much fun with him since he is a big kid at heart. I love the idea of being a mother and all that comes with it. It's looking like I won't have kids til I am in more 30's though.
***I crave to be a good cook. I really like to cook but it is so much work! Shirley has been giving me some quick easy recipes to make which have been delicious. How did women cook meals daily back in the day??? Oh yeah, they stayed home! Steve and I don't have the same tastes for home cooked meals. So to try to please both of us is super hard!
***I crave Thai food especially from My Thai. Their red curry with chicken is incredible! I think I could eat it every single day. Too bad it's fattening with all that yummy coconut milk.
***I crave frozen yogurt. There all these new yogurt shops opening up that are the serve yourself kind. Then you weigh your cup and pay. I try to keep mine under $5! They have delicious flavors and delicious toppings.

Day 22

I make up only 6% of the population with a certain personality type. I am an introvert. Only 20% of the population are introverts. I enjoy being with my close friends and have a hard time in big groups. I have a hard time coming up with topics to talk about with people I just met.
So I am DIFFERENT from others in that way. I am envious of others abilities to be in HUGE groups and TALK to strangers like they have been BEST friends for years!

Day 21

Something that makes me happy is Hawaii and my husband! They go together very well and I love spending time with Steve and in Hawaii. I also love to read magazines and on rare occasion I read books now. I used to read lots of books but no time now. I love my cute furry four legged friends also. They make me happy.

Day 20

Someone I see myself marrying/being with in the future.....
Well I am going to have to go with my hot husband that I am ALREADY married to! I think the future has lots in store for us and maybe a couple kids to....soon I hope!

Day 19

Nicknames
I really don't have any true nicknames. My full legal name is Jessie which people will call me Jess. My husband calls me babe and just recently darling (I think after I have said it so much to him, he's picked it up). My grandpa used to call me Jessica, and I think he did that only because it annoyed me since that WASN'T my name.

Day 17

As you can now tell, I love Sarah Michelle Gellar!!! She is super hot and has a great body. Her eyes are gorgeous! She has a hot husband and a beautiful baby. She has a comfortable life. She isn't one of the celebrities that is constantly in the press. I think I might be able to handle one day of her life.

Day 16

I know this is a way old picture but look how great I looked! I want to be back down to that size. What size you ask? I have no idea what I was back then but this was 10 years ago. All I know is I want to be back to looking HOT like that! Man my husband is hot! All dressed up in a Tux!

Day 15

Well I have to say I DO have an I-pod but it DOESN'T have any music on it. At one point it did but then I got tired of stupid I-tunes and how awful it was to create playlists, so I deleted all the music so I could sell it. It's still sitting in my desk drawer waiting for a buyer. It truly is hard when you are so used to Windows Media Player! I am more of a normal computer girl and not so into Apple....at all.
But the first 10 songs on Windows Media Player would be so incredibly random and not always my taste either since it is mine and my husbands entire music collection. There's over 3500 songs in there.
But if you must know my taste in music, it varies. I could be into Eminem one week, John Mayer the next, Jack Johnson, David Grey, Britney Spears, Dire Straights, and so on.

Day 14

Oh my lovely family!!! This was Christmas 2008 and it was a hard decision of who's house to go to first. Well as you can see Steve is not in my side of the family's picture. He decided he wanted to go to his family's in the morning and I on the otherhand enjoy breakfast which my parents cook all the time. So we split up for a little bit and then met up later on.
The bottom picture we are missing one sibling and spouse and of course the grandparents!

Day 13

This post is going to be short. A letter to someone that has hurt me recently. I prefer not to write such a emotional letter to someone on a blog. If someone has hurt me they may or may not know because I don't tend to come out and say it. And that's okay with me.

Day 12

The honor of todays post goes to my friend Brittany! She started me blogging after begging me to create one. It seemed quite complicated to create posts and upload pictures and use widgets. But after a nice easy night shift at work, she got me hooked. Needless to say I have been here ever since. She always tells me to blog more and this whole 30 day blog exercise will probably be the most frequent blogging I have ever done and will ever do. She has the most interesting life and is ALWAYS doing something exciting. And I wish I had that much to blog about! Someday my life will consist of that much excitement! Thanks Brit!!!

Day 9

Something that makes me proud that I have done in the past few days...hmmmm. Well I am proud of myself for actually attempting to can salsa and being successful. Now I don't know if it tastes good but it is sealed properly.
I am proud of all the recipes I am making lately using our homegrown tomatoes. I have wanted to learn to can, make fresh tomato soup and freeze it. Stuffed Tomatoes are delicious on top of all that. Yum!
I have recently been complimented at work about how I manage my busy days. They state that although it's really busy, watching me they see how organized and functional I am at getting my job done. That makes me feel good for being so uptight about how I perform my job.

Day 8

Well I am such a planner so everything could technically be a short term goal. I always have a short term goal of getting projects done around my house but they continue to stay on the long term goal list!
1. Label printed photos and organize into photo albums.
2. Keep my house clean and clutter free.
3. Start exercising on the elliptical I bought....must lose weight. (Maybe that is more of a long term goal in reality)
4. Write Mandy a letter on her mission. Poor girl probably thinks I forgot about her, I didn't.
5. Pick up the wedding rings from the jewelers....their going to be so shiny and sparkle.
6. Hang out with my favorite friends on my days off!
That's really all I can think of unless you want the daily grind of what I want to get done every day! But it's really boring.

Day 7

Someone that makes and has made a big impact in my life is my husband. We have been together almost 10 years now and he has showed me things in life that I would probably have never seen without him. I have met people that I would normally not hang out with due to my shyness. He has shown me the world he lives in for his ADHD and how to manage impossible situations (at least that's how I feel). He has given me a beautiful life and home.
He backs me up in every decision that I make and is always there for me in a rough spot. He will save me from bad things like flat tires, if I forgot something I needed at work, or cold medicine.
He truly has been the best thing in my life. The biggest impact in my life right now.
These funny looks I get are because he hates his picture taken but I can't help but want to have more of him!

Canning

I thought I would try my hand at canning. Steve and I decided that we would LOVE to have our homemade salsa throughout winter so why not can that? All day today I made 6 full batches of salsa using our new NINJA Professional. It truly does chop up the vegetables faster than the blender and left the salsa a little more chunky than usual.

Last week I learned on the internet that if you are going to can salsa, you have to pressure can it due to harmful bacteria. I purchased a pressure canner on Wednesday and it arrived Friday along with a free case of jars. How exciting! Becoming domesticated!

I was able to fit 12 pints into the pressure canner and off it went, gaining pressure. About 30 minutes later it reached the pressure required. And 20 minutes later they were done. The cool off period was much longer. The jars are now out on the counter cooling down. The only problem now is that it doesn't smell very good..at..all.
I will be so disappointed if I just wasted 5 batches of homemade salsa made out of our garden tomatoes. And then I just bought that canner for nothing!

Day 6

My favorite all time hero has to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is an amazing character and super-hero. I own all 7 seasons of the series along with the break off Angel. I watched all the seasons a couple years a go, it took me a good couple months of at least 2 hours a night! Steve was miserable....where did his wife go?

Buffy has all these great traits that I guess I wish I had. She can kick ANYONE'S ass! She doesn't have to put up with bullshit due to her strength. And if there were vampires, creatures of the night, or any other type of demon, I would definitely love to have her power or at least be in her group of friends.

I like the fact that just because she has all these powers and looks, she has a small close-knit group of friends. I am much more of a small group of friends type of person.

And who can resist her boyfriend??? He is so amazingly hot and seductive!

When the series ended, it was a very sad day for me. I really truly enjoyed the action. I am not into sci-fi but I guess this is sort of sci-fi in a different way.

Exploring Southern Utah
Hawaii
Mine Exploration

Day 4

Hmmmm.....a habit I wished I didn't have. I can't think of many things that truly bother me. If being shy was a habit I would change that in a heartbeat. Steve tells me that he is my bad habit but I disagree. Maybe that I can't relax when I have dinner parties at my house. I have to constantly clean my kitchen as I go. Boring......maybe someone else knows a bad habit.
