Blundell Barbeque Bash

Little Abby Every year my friends Adam and Marzena have what's called the Blundell Barbeque Bash (BBB). Each and every year there are new and exciting events at these bashes. Someday he will not be able to outdo himself. This year started off with the famous powerburgers and grilled corn. I was sad that I didn't get any corn but Steve said it was awesome. They had the big blow up bounce room for the kids and two water blowups. One was a big slide and the other had a water gun at the top and a slide down to a pool. This is like kid heaven. Someday when we have little ones they will be thrilled to go to this yearly event. Adam and his dad Gail always have some sort of exposive device. They did two candy cannons, one small one and one very large one. You had to cover your head as the candy came back down on your head. It sounded like everyone was being pelted with rocks it was so loud. They had a balloon man come to make anything you wanted out of balloons. Marzena got a mouse that had a balloon inside of a balloon. It was pretty cool. Fishing poles with a fish on the end, monkeys, elephants and lots of flowers. This is Julie (Adam's sister and little Hannah) They had rocket launchers. Everyone could make their own rockets and get it launched. Many landed on Marzena and Adams roof. But the coolest thing this year was the fire dancers. We almost didn't stay for the dancers because we were going to our friend Emily's house after. But we did and I am glad we did. It was pretty cool to watch. I don't know what Adam is going to come up with next year.
Adam is also into Salt Water fish tanks and he just upgraded to a 300 gallon tank. It is massive. I took some pics of the beautiful fish. Check out the clam, he bought that from a friend because it wouldn't fit in his own tank anymore. My favorite fish is the blue fish. Someday when I can afford to pay for the upkeep of a tank and I am in the house I want to be in for 20 years I will get a tank. It will make me feel closer to Hawaii than I am now.

4North Girls Dinner

Some of my great work friends and I went to Red Robin for dinner one evening. These girls are some of the reasons that 4 North is such a fun place to work. We are all so different and yet so alike. We all love to blog...okay Misty is getting there. We love to have fun and travel. We love babies!!! It was a fun night and a very hard night to plan. We all went through our schedules to find a day we all had off and nothing worked. We finally went through the days that we all worked and found that to be August 14th. Paulina brought her well-behaved little boy Alex. He did so well while we all chatted. As soon as he saw Misty and Brittany's shakes, he had to have one. We talked about things that all of our husbands would probably get nauseated over. Baby births, breastfeeding, sex, detailing stories of our codes at work....all in all it was awesome to be able to discuss things like that and know nobody would get grossed out. Amy is preparing to become a mom in the next 2 weeks. Her little girl is going to have so many people that love her. Shirley tried to talk her mom into bringing Kimberlee up so we could have dinner with her. Brittany is my adrenaline junkie friend...she wants all the action.

(Alex, Paulina, Misty, Brittany, Amy, Shirley and me)
I love these girls!!!

New Floors

So I finally got tired of the dirty gross carpet in our bedroom. One day I decided to rip it out since SLC does the Spring cleanup. I moved all our furniture into our front rooms and yanked out the carpet and pad. Aaaahhhhh.....I think my allergies will be much better now. The wood floors beneath are very pretty but worn out. We decided to lay some laminate flooring down, atleast until we get the floors in the front rooms refinished. Poor Steve! I get mad at him all the time for starting new projects when we have so many that need to be finished. This time it was my project but Steve ended up laying the flooring down and putting the molding around the floor. It looks nice now. It makes our bedroom furniture look really red.
These are the floors that were under the carpet.

This is our new bedroom floor.

We are also laying the same laminate in our back room. Steve has worked on it all day and it's finally done. Now we need to put molding around the base, windows, and ceiling. We might finish a project this weekend!!!

Breaking Dawn

So I just finished Breaking Dawn today. Wow, it's such an incredible book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It makes your mind and heart race through the intense portions and romance that we all have enjoyed with Edward and Bella. I can't wait for more of you to finish so we can talk about it. I am definitely sad to see this series end just like I was when Harry Potter ended. They just let your imagination run wild with the books.

Kimberlee

I just had to post on such a cute little kid. I have to say Kimberlee is one of the cutest kids ever. She is always such a smiley baby and gives lots of loves. Shirley is the best mom ever! I definitely enjoy hanging out with them. Our trip to Bryce Canyon was so enjoyable that I would do it for a week.
