I finally was able to go on the annual Float Trip. Steve has been going for the past few years with a bunch of friends while I was stuck studying for finals or studying for Boards. It was great weather while we were down there. We got there on Thursday night about 9pm and were up around the campfire until probably around 1am. On friday we floated the San Rafael river. The drive from our campsite to the drop off is about
10 minutes. It took us almost 4 hours to float back down to our camp. This whole trip down the river is a big booze fest. Everyone gets drunk (besides me) and parties the whole way. Steve and I brought these two lounging tubes to float in. Steve got so hammered that he passed out and floated into these tree branches and popped his tube.
Thank god he woke up when he was sinking. He ended up on a tube with a couple other people. My tube wouldn't hold both of us (they were the cheap kind). Anyways to make a long story short, 3 people out of like 12 were sick all night. That's including my kick ass husband since he parties like a rock star. The next day we had a better trip down the river, no sickies.
