Christmas Eve
We joined my parents and grandma for Christmas Eve dinner. I had to put Emma in this adorable dress. I absolutely love it but it was a 9 month old dress and she was starting to outgrow that size. She loves to look out the windows and put hand prints all along the glass for her Papa.
Christmas morning we woke to a beautiful day and a warm cozy home. We did our family picture under the tree and let Emma play with her toys. Emma received a baby doll, giraffe popper toy and a Disney Planes Dusty ride on plane. She loved her presents and continues to give her baby doll loves. She knocks over her giraffe instead of pushing the popper down. And she loves the plane. She pushes it all over the house and loves it more when Daddy puts her on it and pushes her around the house. It has a propellor that spins and lights up and makes all sorts of sounds.
At 10 am, we hosted the Shelton Family breakfast and present opening. All four cousins received knitted hats from Kathryn. Emma does not like hats on her head unless you distract her with something else. We had a potluck breakfast of waffles, breakfast rice, breakfast casserole, ham, fruit and juice. It was absolutely yummy! Plenty of food and fun.
Our youngest family member Teddy in his candy cane striped PJ's and Emma in hers were so cute. I made Emma sit on her plane for pictures and she obviously didn't like it. It was past her nap time and she was getting so tired.
I love these pics of the kids. All four kids are doing great, then Teddy crumbles and then Emma is looking at him like "what is wrong with you?"
In the afternoon, we headed to my brothers for a fabulous dinner. He made this amazing roast, yummy asparagus, cheesy potatoes, and salad. To top that meal off, we had coconut cream pie! My parents sat with Emma to help her open gifts. She received a xylophone, jack in the box, a book, and a puzzle stacker. My niece Riley was with her mother this year but gave Emma a pink seahorse that sings a song and lights up.
After the Christmas celebrations, Steve drove me to the hospital where I worked all night long. The following morning I was scheduled to have my gallbladder removed.
Here are Emma's pictures with Santa that we did. Thanks to Shirley for the idea through FotoFly. We absolutely love them!
